Die AMS 5812 sind hochgenaue OEM-Sensoren mit analogem und digitalem Ausgang. Die AMS 5812 sind kalibriert und im Bereich von -25 bis +85 °C kompensiert. Die Sensoren haben einen analogen ratiometrischen Ausgang (0,5…4,5 V bzw. 2,5 V ±2 V) und ein I²C-Bus-Interface. Am digitalen Ausgang ist zu­sätzlich zur Druck- auch die Temperaturinformation verfügbar. Die Drucksensoren der Serie AMS 5812 basieren auf hochstabilen, piezoresistiven Druckmesszellen, die zusammen mit einem ASIC auf einem Keramiksubstrat montiert sind. Die Sensoren sind als Nachfolger des SM5852 mit diesem kompatibel, und besitzt einen moderneren ASIC für eine bessere Temperaturkompensation und Kalibration.
